Born on October 11, 1973, in Toronto, Canada, Dr. Shriki was influenced early on by his family's legacy in the healthcare sector. Dr. Shriki initiated his medical education at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, earning his MD in 2000. His pursuit of expertise in radiology led him to complete a Transitional/Internal Medicine internship and a Diagnostic Radiology residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston and the University of California at Irvine Medical Center, respectively. During his residency, he distinguished himself as Chief Resident. He further specialized by undertaking Body Imaging and Nuclear Medicine fellowships at the University of California and the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University. In 2006, Dr. Shriki began his professional practice as a staff radiologist at LAC + USC Medical Center and USC University Hospital in Los Angeles, roles he held until 2010. He later transitioned to the VISN 20 VA Health Care System in Eugene, Oregon, in 2013, where his efforts have significantly impacted the quality of healthcare for veterans, particularly in lung cancer screening. Dr. Shriki also holds an academic position as an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Washington's Department of Radiology, a role he has occupied since 2013. His previous academic appointments include serving as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Southern California. He is deeply committed to educating and mentoring the next generation of medical professionals. His work has earned him several prestigious awards, including the Healthcare Hero Award from Reddit Inc. and multiple recognitions as a Seattle Top Doctor by Seattle Met Magazine. Dr. Shriki's contributions to medical literature are extensive, with numerous publications in top-tier journals.
